Discover Lady's Island
Take a two-hour trip to Lady’s Island, a lively coastal community with a character all its own. Named after Lady Elizabeth Blake, an British colonist, this Sea Island lies just across the water from downtown Beaufort. On the Discover Lady’s Island tour you’ll enjoy a scenic drive through Lady’s Island and its rural neighbor, Coosaw Island. Then you’ll have a chance to stretch your legs in a leisurely walk through a maritime forest preserve that includes Native American archaeological sites and a chance to get up close and personal with pluff mud (that’s optional). Depending on the season we will also stop by local points of interest that could include art galleries, restaurants, specialty shops, seafood producers, farms, marinas and boat landings. And your trip wouldn’t be complete without a chance to try the hand-crafted ice cream created at our very own Berry Island Cafe. An ice cream flight, similar to a wine flight, will give you the opportunity to try three delicious flavors, including classic favorites like Prince of Tides as well as seasonal specialities.Tickets and information
